Who We Are
The Community Farms Program is a joint venture between FarmFolk/CityFolk Society (FFCF) and The Land Conservancy of British Columbia (TLC).
FarmFolk/CityFolk
FarmFolkCityFolk is a not for profit society that works to cultivate a local, sustainable food system. Our projects provide access to & protection of foodlands; support local growers and producers; and engage communities in the celebration of local food.
In the Community Farms Program, FFCF recruits farmers, facilitates the formation of community groups, and researches and develops farming-related resource materials.
The Land Conservancy of British Columbia
The Land Conservancy of British Columbia (TLC) is a registered charity and land trust protecting natural areas, heritage landmarks, and agricultural lands in BC. TLC's agricultural mandate is to protect farmland for sustainable, local food production. TLC holds title or covenants on farmland, offers long-term farming tenures, and provides information and education to farmers, local food groups, and communities.
In the Community Farms Program, TLC acquires land and researches and develops land-related resource materials.
